Terms and Conditions — EGBookings

Welcome to EGBookings. By accessing or using our website and mobile applications, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Use of Services
EGBookings provides a platform that connects users with transportation services, including:
- Group Bookings — long-term or scheduled rentals (e.g. weddings, events)
- Quick Ride (Single Trip) — on-demand point-to-point rides
- Ambulance / Medical Transport — on-demand medical transportation
By using our platform, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Use the service only for lawful purposes
- Not misuse, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt the platform
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to register or use EGBookings. By using the Service you confirm that you are 18 or older.
3. Booking and Confirmation
- All bookings are subject to availability.
- Group bookings are confirmed only after successful advance or full payment.
- Quick Ride and Ambulance bookings are confirmed only after the up-front Razorpay payment is verified and a driver accepts the request.
- If no driver accepts the request, the booking is automatically cancelled and the prepayment refunded in full.
EGBookings reserves the right to cancel or modify bookings in case of unforeseen circumstances or platform misuse.
4. Pricing and Payments
- All prices are displayed in Indian Rupees and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Prices may vary based on location, distance, vehicle type, time of day, and demand.
- Payments are processed securely through Razorpay. EGBookings does not store full card details.
- EGBookings is not responsible for payment failures caused by external systems (banks, UPI providers, etc.).
5. Cancellation and Refund
- Cancellation rules are described in our Cancellation Policy.
- Group bookings may incur a deduction depending on how many days before the trip the cancellation is made.
- Quick Ride / Ambulance bookings cancelled before pickup, or auto-cancelled because no driver accepted, are refunded in full to the original payment method.
- Refunds are issued via Razorpay and typically reflect within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
6. Responsibilities of Riders
- Be present at the pickup location at the agreed time.
- Treat drivers and vehicles respectfully.
- Do not engage in unlawful, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour during the trip.
- Do not leave personal belongings in the vehicle — EGBookings is not liable for loss.
7. Responsibilities of Drivers
- Hold a valid driving licence and all required vehicle documents (insurance, registration, fitness certificate, PAN).
- Maintain the vehicle in safe and roadworthy condition.
- Provide the booked service as agreed, on time, and using the registered vehicle.
- Comply with Indian motor-vehicle laws and traffic regulations.
EGBookings acts as a technology platform connecting riders and independent service providers; the driver is solely responsible for the conduct of the trip.
8. Account Suspension and Termination
EGBookings reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for:
- Misuse of the platform
- Fraudulent or chargeback activity
- Repeated cancellations or no-shows
- Violations of these Terms
- Submission of false or expired identity / vehicle documents
Users may delete their accounts at any time via the in-app option or by emailing info@egbookings.in.
9. Limitation of Liability
EGBookings is not liable for:
- Delays due to traffic, weather, road closures, or unforeseen events
- Acts or omissions of independent drivers or third-party providers
- Loss or damage to personal belongings
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fare paid for the specific booking giving rise to the claim.
10. Third-Party Services
EGBookings integrates Razorpay (payments), Firebase (notifications), Google Maps (navigation), and Kit19 (SMS). We are not responsible for the performance, availability, or policies of these third parties.
11. Account and Data Usage
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. EGBookings is not liable for unauthorised account use resulting from your failure to keep credentials secure. Our handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Intellectual Property
All EGBookings branding, software, and content are owned by EGBookings or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without prior written permission.
13. Changes to Terms
EGBookings may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via in-app notice or email. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
